The Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2021 pageant concluded on November 22 with San Juan’s Valerie Vigoreaux Cortés winning the top plum.
The 27-year-old pre-veterinary student and model edged out 11 other finalists for the title and the right to represent the Caribbean island in the next edition of the Miss Earth competition. She succeeded Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2020 Krystal Badillo who is currently competing at the virtual Miss Earth 2020 contest.
Her elemental court included Miss Water Cristina Mariel Ríos Reyes (San Sebastian), Miss Air Elijah Rodriguez (Salinas), and Miss Fire Dinochka Santana (Cabo Rojo).
Reigning Miss Earth Nellys Pimentel of Puerto Rico also attended the event. She made history last year as the island’s first Miss Earth winner.
