Mukang’andu “Muka” Hamoonga has been named Miss Earth Zambia 2020, the organization announced on September 3.
The 23-year-old chemical engineer from Lusaka will represent the African nation at the virtual Miss Earth 2020 competition in November.
“I pledge to save and serve the earth with a heart of resilience and spirit of an eco warrior,” she wrote on her Facebook page shortly after the announcement.
Hamoonga previously competed in Miss Heritage Zambia 2018 and finished first runner-up.
