In line with the celebration of the National Arts Month, the candidates of Bb Pilipinas 2020 visited the Gateway Gallery Museum, on February 18.
The girls were given a tour of the museum by curator Gari Apolonio, who provided the candidates a quick lecture on the exhibited artworks.
The museum visit provided the candidates a quick history refresher through the artworks lined up at the museum’s “SiningSaysay: Philippine History in Art” exhibit. Bb Pilipinas aims to promote art appreciation through the museum tour while also teaching history to the candidates.
The exhibit, which features 30 large-scale paintings from pre-historic Philippines to the contemporary period, is a joint project of the Araneta City and the University of the Philippines.
The Gateway Gallery, located at the 5th level of the Gateway Tower in Araneta City, is open to the public Mondays to Sundays from 10am to 7pm. Admission is free. Missosology.Org
