Mariana Varela was crowned Miss Universo Argentina 2019 during the finals held October 16 at the Teatro Broadway in Buenos Aires.
The 23-year-old journalism student and model bested 13 other aspirants for the title and the right to compete at the 2019 Miss Universe pageant in December in the USA.
Julieta Garcia and Luisina Ojeda placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
This is the first edition of Miss Universo Argentina under the tutelage of esteemed pageant guru Osmel Souza, who worked as Miss Venezuela Organization president until 2018.
