Ignacia Albornoz, representing Santiago, was crowned the new Miss Mundo Chile during the finals held September 8 at the Teatro Municipal de Calama.
She bested 14 other candidates for the title and the right to represent the South American nation at the 2019 Miss World finals in December in London. She was crowned by last year’s winner Anahí Hormazabal.
Georgina Anez of Calama was named Miss Mundo Norte, while Antonia Aliaga of Punta Arenas bagged the Miss Mundo Sur subtitle.
