Yuka Itoku of Oita Prefecture is the new Miss Earth Japan 2019. The 20 -year-old national university student will represent the Land of the Rising Sun to the 19th edition of Miss Earth this coming October 26th.

Japan last placed in the semifinalis of Miss Earth last year with Mio Tanaka when she ended up in the Top 18. Marina Kishina still holds the record of Japan’s best placement at Miss Earth with a Top 7 finish in 2010.
