The 2019 Miss Haiti pageant concluded on July 18 with the crowning of the Caribbean country’s representatives to two of the Big5 pageants.

Miss Universe Haiti
Gabriela Clesca Vallejo was crowned Miss Universe Haiti 2019. The 25-year-old model and Bachelor of International Development and Civil Law graduate will head on to compete at the 2019 Miss Universe contest.

Born from a Haitian-Congolese father and a Dominican mother, Vallejo was raised in Haiti before moving with her family to Canada during her teenage years. She speaks English, Creole, French and Spanish.

Vallejo is no stranger to pageants as she competed in Miss Supranational 2014, representing Canada, and placed in the Top 20 and bagged Miss Congeniality.

Miss International Haiti
Meanwhile, Lory-Anne Charles was named Miss International Haiti 2019. The 20-year-old economics student and model will travel to Japan for the 2019 Miss International beauty pageant in December.

Regine Amanda Metayer finished first runner-up. Pascale Belony and Eden Berandoive as were second and third runners-up, respectively.
