Madina Batyk from Pavlodar was crowned Miss Kazakhstan 2019 during the finals held at the City Hall Nomad on May 2.
The 19-year-old tourism student bested 31 other candidates for the right to compete at the 2019 Miss World contest in Thailand in December.
“I will continue to study and develop tourism in Kazakhstan, our country has great potential. I am very happy indeed, I cannot describe these feelings. I believed, but did not think that I could win,” Batyk said in an interview with journalists.
Diana Abisheva from Almaty and Nadezhda Nedosekova from Semey placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
