Lugmilla Coquillas will represent Guadeloupe, an island group in the southern Caribbean, at the 2018 Miss Earth contest in the Philippines in November.
The 18-year-old beauty from Baie-Mahault was crowned during the Miss World Guadeloupe 2018 finals in July.
“Mon objectif est de prôner la couleur ébène au plus haut niveau de la scène et bien entendu ramener une couronne, une écharpe de plus à notre île (My objective is to promote the ebony color in the world stage and of course to bring home the crown and sash to our island,” she posted on her Facebook page.
