Wellingtonian Estelle Curd twas crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2018 on August 4 at a glittering finale in Auckland’s Sky City Theatre.
The 27-year-old human resource manager bested 19 other finalists for the crown, a new car, and the right to represent the country at the 2018 Miss Universe competition to be held in Thailand in December.
“Just standing there and getting the crown placed on my head was such a beautiful moment for me,” she was quoted on New Zealand Herald.
Milena Taryan placed first runner-up while Lucy Brock finished second runner-up. Jewel Haris and Nurul Shamsul were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
Prior to winning the title, Curd was a finalist in New Zealand’s Next Top Model in 2010 and a contestant in Miss Universe New Zealand in 2014. Missosology.Org
