Lauren Howe has been crowned as Miss Universe Canada 2017! The blue-eyed blonde beauty hails from Toronto, Ontario. She is 5’9″ tall and is a recent Industrial Engineering graduate who is working as a project manager, actress, model, sports host and entrepreneur. Finishing as first runner-up to Lauren is Marta Magdalena Stepien while the 2nd runner-up is Meral Ozerdinç. Diana Lai and Kathryn Kohut rounded up the Top 5.
Canada boasts two Miss Universe winners. The first one is Karen Baldwin who won in 1982 and the latest is Natalie Glebova who win in 2005. Since 2006, Canada failed to place in the pageant and in January this year, Siera Bearchell became an Mpule, ending her country’s drought by placing to the Top 9.
