After a year of absence, the African nation of Ghana is returning to Miss Universe.
Ruth Quashie, a 23-year-old business administration graduate, was crowned Miss Universe Ghana 2017, besting 9 other candidates for the right to compete in the next edition of the Miss Universe pageant.
The runners-up were Hephie Armah and Emily Randolph, who came in second and third respectively.
