Miss World 2016 Stephanie del Valle, Miss World Organisation chairman Julia Morley and Chief of the Royal House of Mandela his royal highness Zwelivelile Mandelsizwe Mandela arrived in the Philippines on Friday, September 1, to do charity work.
A press conference was held at the New World Makati Hotel in Makati City to welcome the three guests, alongside Miss World 2016 continental queens Yaritza Reyes (Miss World Caribbean), Natasha Mannuela (Miss World Asia), Audra Mari (Miss World Americas), Madeline Cowe (Miss World Oceania) and Lenty Frans (Miss World Europe).
The group will pay a visit to Miss World’s “Beauty With A Purpose” beneficiaries in Manila. These are the Philippine General Hospital’s pediatric ward, Fr. Rocky Evangelista’s Tuloy Foundation for abandoned and street children in Muntinlupa, Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center in Manila (the official beneficiary of the Miss World Philippines Organization) and Miss World Philippines 2016 Catriona Gray’s “Paraiso the Bright Beginnings” project in Smokey Mountain.
Miss World Africa Evelyn Njambi and Mr World 2016 Rohit Khandelwal will also join the group.
The Nelson Mandela Foundation has pledged to assist the Miss World Organization in its charity work in the Philippines. Chief Mandela is the eldest grandson of the late former South African President Nelson Mandela.
They will all be the special guests at the Miss World Philippines 2017 finals on September 3.
