Top favorite Tin Sandar Myo was crowned Miss Earth Myanmar 2017 on Saturday, June 24, besting 25 other candidates for the right to compete at the 2017 Miss Earth finals in November.
The pageant was held at the National Theater of Yangon, marking the first pageant finals in Myanmar that is solely dedicated for Miss Earth.
Myo, 25, is a professional model. She took up Law at Yangon School of Political Science, Business Management. Prior to Miss Earth Myanmar, she was first runner-up in Miss International Myanmar 2016.
Her elemental court included Miss Air Susan Shwine, Miss Water Su Wut Yee, Miss Fire Yin Yin Htet and Miss Eco-tourism Hnin Wai Wai Nwe. Meanwhile, Yuki San was named Miss Earth Myanmar Teen 2017.
