Mary Ann Mungcal from Pampanga was crowned Miss Global Philippines 2017 at a glittering finals night held Saturday, June 24, at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila.
She bested 21 other candidates for the right to represent the country at the 2017 Miss Global pageant later this year.
Mungcal received a lion’s share of special awards, including the much coveted Best in Swimsuit and Best in Long Gown awards. She received the crown from last year’s winner Camille Hirro, who placed 1st runner-up in Miss Global 2016.

Rowee Sasuluya placed first runner-up, while Jacqueline Mayoralgowas second runner-up. Ma Mhaelen Mae Patano and Fina Gulapa were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
Completing the Top 11 semifinalists were Chantal Serafica, Marvelyn Bocol Talha, Sharmaine Rose Magdasoc, Charmaine Aller, Diane Santiago and Cheska Frias Nueva.
Joana Marie Verdeflor was voted Miss Friendship while Ma Mhaelen Mae Patano was awarded Best in Talent. Miss Photogenic award went to Diane Santiago while Maria Josephine Araullo won Best in Cultural Wear.
