A 24-year-old travel blogger was crowned Miss Myanmar World 2017 on Saturday, June 10.
Ei Kywat Khaing (#17) bested 19 other candidates for the right to represent her country at the 2017 Miss World finals in Sanya, China.
Khaing also bagged the Miss Personality Award. She stands 5’10” and speaks Burmese, English and German.

Ja Seng Ing (#20) placed first runner-up and bagged the Best in Talent and Miss Healthy awards. Second runner-up and Miss Popular Vote was Ei Nu Wai (#10).
Completing the Top 5 were Thae Nandar Su (#1; Miss Sakura special award winner) and Mi Yin Sanai (#12).
Myanmar has yet to win or even place in the Miss World pageant. They first joined in 1960 and made a comeback in 2014. Missosology.Org
