The candidates of the 65th Miss Universe pageant on Thursday , January 19, paid a visit to the Philippine Navy headquarters in Naval Station Jose Andrada, Roxas Boulevard, Manila before heading to Batangas.
The ladies and reigning Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach were welcomed by members of the Philippine Navy, led by flag-officer-in-command Vice Admiral Ronald Joseph Mercado.
Afterwards, the ladies boarded the M/Y Happy Life yacht, which was docked at the facility’s Commodore Divino Pier.
The Philippine Navy utilized its elite Naval Special Operations Group to escort and provide security to the contestants while they cruised towards an island resort in Batangas. Missosology.Org; Photos by Philippine News Agency
