This year’s Puteri Indonesia finals night will be slightly different than previous editions. Instead of Miss Universe, the reigning Miss International is the special guest at the biggest pageant in Indonesia.

“This is the first time for a Miss International, I am so honored to come here,” said Miss International 2015 Edymar Martínez from Venezuela at the press conference held at the Sultan Hotel in Jakarta on Friday, February 19, ahead of the coronation to be held later at the Plenary Hall of Jakarta Convention Center.

Also present in the event were Puteri Indonesia and Miss Universe Indonesia 2015 Anindya Kusuma Putri and Miss International Indonesia 2015 Chyntia Fabyola, as well as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Puteri Indonesia Putri K. Wardani.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach could not attend the finals night of Puteri Indonesia she was attending New York Fashion Week.

“She (Pia) told me to apologize [for not coming],” Anin said, adding that she often exchanges messages with Miss Universe.
