Standing at a tall 5’10” with vital statistics of 35-25-37, Maria Alejandra Lopez Perez, an industrial engineering student , won the Miss Mundo Colombia 2015 contest. She is 20 years of age and represented the department of Risaralda.
The coronation night happened last Saturday night in Bogota searching for the best Colombian girl for the Miss World 2015 contest. It will be held in Sanya, China on December. No Colombian woman has ever won the Miss World crown.
Maria Alejandra was steadily leading among the contestants, each representing various departments of Colombia. A total of 30 contestants participated in the event. She was the clear front runner in pre-pageant activities that includes traditional costumes, swimsuit and gown. Twelve semifinalists were chosen in the first stage of the contest followed by Top 7 and finally a Top 3.
