Roxanne Zhang was crowned as the new Miss Singapore International during the SWA 40th Charity Gala Dinner held at InterContinental Hotel on 15th August 2015. Roxanne will represent Singapore in the Miss International 2015 contest slated on November 5, 2015 at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Roxanne will have a tough battle ahead. In Miss International’s 55 years of existence only two Singaporean women managed to enter the semis and it was in the 1960 and 1980. Despite its lackluster performance, Singapore is one of the faithful countries at Miss International having sent a delegate every year to the pageant since 1972.
