EAINT MYAT CHAL: MISS EARTH MYANMAR 2015
Just like numerous beauty queens who started winning runner-up honours before clinching the top title, newly crowned Miss Earth Myanmar 2015, Eaint Myat Chal is no stranger to becoming the main winner after becoming a “pageant bridesmaid”. She was first runner-up in last year’s Miss Golden Land Myanmar 2014. She was even sent to a regional pageant in Bangkok, Miss Southeast Asian Beauty and won the Miss Photogenic award.
Tell us something about yourself and family?
I am 23 years old, a graduate of BA English at Dagon University. I have two younger brothers and we live in a rented house in Chaungsone. My brother has downsyndrome and heart disease and cannot walk that’s why me and my mom regularly sells rice cakes and snacks in our village to support our family.
What is your current profession?
After finishing my degree in 2012, I worked as an Accountant and now as a Model for a renowned modelling agency in Yangon.
What is your career ambition?
I want to become an actress in Myanmar. I had a rare chance of having some training at the famous Myanmar Motion Picture Organization in 2013. In Myanmar, when you’re famous, people will listen to you and you will have more impact to their decisions.
What are your expectations in the coming Miss Earth pageant?
Prior to my participation in Miss Golden Land Myanmar, I was already involved in many causes especially taking care of my surroundings. I’m into gardening and tree planting. While in Miss Golden Land Myanmar, my vision never changed with special projects we did to create environmental awareness to the people of Myanmar to take care of our Earth, our home. My eyes are set to win the Miss Earth crown in Austria to better campaign for these causes and spread it not only in Myanmar but to the entire world.
Message to your fans and to MISSOSOLOGY readers?
To my beloved Myanmar fans, thank you for all the support and always cheering for me since my contest last year. I have high hopes that the entire Myanmar will be with me in Austria, in my heart, to pray that I will bring the crown home. To Missosology, thank you for always supporting Myanmar and Asia. Please support Asia in Miss Earth!
