立龙这件作品运用龙这一传奇的形象，表达了女性的情感以及内心。在设计中，充分运用了建筑的廓型。用具有透雕手法的龙，做为整件作品最精妙的表现手法。肩上的双龙设计灵感来源于中式建筑屋脊上的龙纹装饰，而独特的面料则具有龙鳞的效果。加以手工金片的装饰，将龙的神韵与气势表达的淋漓尽致。
立龙的面料非常特别，它在阳光的照射下会产生龙鳞状的效果，配合这种特殊的面料加以刺绣工艺，使立龙更加熠熠生辉。汇聚东西方垫绣工艺的浮雕秀魅力独特，将龙生动的展现在面料上，使之富有极强的立体感、繁而不乱。
秉承郭培一贯奢华唯美的设计风格，不同于普通金线的金咖色线，超过5000小时的纯手工刺绣技法浑然，以及精妙的设计，成就了这件无与伦比的经典之作！
The “Standing Dragon” required more than 5,000 hours of hand embroidery and represents the height of Chinese designer Guo Pei’s work. A tribute to the legendary symbol of power, strength and good luck (for those who are worthy of it), the Standing Dragon pairs two dragons inspired by the roof ridges of imperial Chinese architecture. The gilded dragons stand on the shoulders and follow through the extraordinarily long train of the dress. Ancient and modern Chinese embroidery techniques were paired with gold thread and hand-sewed sequins to create a bedazzling effect of a gold dragon bathed in sunlight. The design made its American debut at New York Fashion Week 2013/2014.
