South Africa has another crown in its hands!

Gizzelle Uys won this year’s Miss Eco International beauty pageant, which was held last night April 4 at Baron Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

Meanwhile, other placements are: Philippines’ Kelley Day (1st runner-up), USA’s Alexandria Kelly (2nd runner-up), Venezuela’s Steffanía Alejandra Rodríguez (3rd runner-up) and Costa Rica’s Kristel Freeman (4th runner-up). Gizzelle succeeded Malaysia’s Amy Tinie after beating 38 other candidates in the pageant’s sixth edition.

Pageant founder Dr. Amaal Rezk managed to successfully organize this 3-week global event which is supported by the United Nations despite of the difficulties to bring all beauties from different countries together amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The new queen from South Africa will continue her predecessors’ undertakings to promote environmental awareness and eco-tourism.
