The 2020 Miss Venezuela pageant concluded on September 24 with the crowning of the powerhouse nation’s representatives to three of the Big5 pageants in a virtual fashion.

Mariángel Villasmil, who represented the state of Zulia, bagged the top title of Miss Venezuela 2020. The 24-year-old psychology student will represent Venezuela in the next edition of the Miss Universe contest.

Isbel Parra of Region Guayana was named Miss Venezuela Internacional 2020. The 26-year-old fashion designer and artistic gymnastics coach will travel to Japan next year for the 60th Miss International beauty pageant.

Elizabeth Ramos of Guárico, Luiseth Materán of Miranda, and Valentina Sánchez of Nueva Esparta completed the Top 5.

Earlier in the show, Aragua’s Alejandra Conde was crowned Miss Venezuela Mundo 2020. The 23-year-old medicine student will represent Venezuela in the next edition of the Miss World contest.

For the first time in decades, the “most beautiful night in Venezuela” was not held live due to the restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The official crowning of the winners will take place on September 25 in another recorded program.
