Despite the drama and scandal which eventually is much ado about nothing, the reigning Miss Earth Tereza Fajksova of Czech Republic remains unfazed. She is one of the most hardworking winner of Miss Earth and she has extensively travelled to so many places. She’s been to Mauritius, Reunion, South Sudan, Indonesia, Finland, France and many more. She promoted the basic tenet why Miss Earth exists – help preserve Mother Earth.
The very reason why Missosology retained Miss Earth as one of the Top 4 beauty pageants in the world is because of its strong advocacy which is about the environment. There should be a purpose for every major beauty pageants in the world. And despite the scandals and the alleged “crown buying”, Miss Earth came out strong and it is establishing its own beauty pageant in various countries. In Indonesia for example, the Miss Earth brand came out strongly under the El John Pageants staging its own spectacular and televised finals night and in the road to compete with Puteri Indonesia and Miss Indonesia pageants.
Tereza Fajksova is perhaps the transformative figure albeit symbolic to the formidable “comeback” of Miss Earth. For one, she is the only non-local delegate who won a Big4 crown last year cementing the integrity of the pageant and reinforcing the fact that Tereza truly deserves to win. She is a beautiful woman truly an appropriate ambassador of Miss Earth.
As she is about to pass her crown, Tereza can look proud of her achievements. She will truly be one of the most remembered Big4 Queens and her legacy to the pageant and to the Czech Republic will be forever written in history.
