Fatima Ezzahra El-Horre, 23 year of age from Marrakech, won the Miss Maroc 2015 contest. The pageant was held in a Movenpick hotel in the city of Tangiers. The Miss Maroc (Miss Morocco) pageant is making a comeback after years of hiatus. The last pageant was held in 2012 but the winner did not participate in any of the Big4 pageant. The pageant was held amid reports of sexual harassment suffered by delegates in the venue during the preliminaries. Some members of the public were caught stalking the delegates and there is one incident when someone barged in to the hotel rooms of the candidates.
The Miss Maroc pageant is reportedly flirting to the idea of participating at the Miss World contest which is to be held in Sanya, China on December 19. This rumor was reinforced by the appearance of Miss England Carina Tyrell as one of the distinguished judges of the pageant. If indeed true, this will mark the comeback of Morocco in the Big4 pageants which has successfuly sent delegates at Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International during the 60s and the 70s.
