The Best in National Costume for 2011 is Miss Universe Panama Sheldry Saez
The sheer attention to the details is mesmerizing, the colors just burst into ones eyes. It is also relevant in cultural terms and it is of no wonder it won the Best in National Costume Award at Miss Universe 2011.

Worst National Costume for 2011 goes to Miss Denmark International Monica Kristensen
The banality of it all speaks in volumes how this costume was poorly thought of. Denmark is rich in cultural resources and this costume somehow is a contempt towards the Danish heritage.

The Best in Gown for the Year 2011 goes to Miss World Venezuela Ivian Sarcos.
Her gown is a playful take of the Barbie Doll. The bodice is splashed with lots of gems but not looking all too overdosed. The design did standout as it was pink all over with huge frills in the skirt. A touch of sexiness is the job of the huge opening in the front. Playful but tasteful. Only a Miss Venezuela can pull such a risky move and run away with the crown.

The Worst Gown for 2011 goes to Miss Universe Belgium Justine de Jonckheere.
We all know that lace is Belgium forte but in the case of Justine there might be too much of it. The design is incoherent, the materials used looked tacky, the color is offbeat and that extra sleeve is just out of this world.

Best in Swimsuit for 2011 goes to Miss Earth Czech Republic Sarka Cojocarova
This European beauty is just sizzling hot and her body is just the best and she knows it for she flaunts it with much gusto. Although is she the Best in Swimsuit at Miss Earth, she failed to make it to the semis. What a shame!

Worst in Swimsuit for 2011 goes to Miss Universe Sri Lanka Stephanie Siriwardhana
Sure, there are a lot of girls with not-so-ideal bodies well in fact a handful are even worse. But Stephanie's figure is what sticks in ones mind and to think that she used to be shapely but suddenly added more pounds when the swimsuit photoshoots began. It was not clear whether the culprit is Sri Lankan or Brazilian food which by the way are both delicious.

Best in Interview for 2011 goes to Miss World Puerto Rico Amanda Vilanova
She is eloquent, quotable, composed and yes, beautiful. If the preliminary scores are the basis, this young Boricua lady should have won the Miss World crown. Her line, explaining why she should be the next Miss World, is the best ever spoken in the Big4 pageants for the year 2011.
“… indefinable thing that is beauty and the positive impact that it can have when it is used with a purpose.”

BIG 4 PERFORMER OF THE YEAR
VENEZUELA!
With a semifinalist at Miss Universe (Vanessa Goncalves), a winner at Miss World (Ivian Sarcos), first runner-up at Miss International (Jessica Barboza) and third runner-up at Miss Earth (Caroline Medina), Venezuela reasserted itself as a beauty superpower. No doubt Osmel Sousa is smiling.

Based on Big4 scoring, trailing Venezuela for the best performance is the Philippines, Brazil third, Ecuador fourth. (Artwork by Gryffindor_prince)
