A video taken inside the Araneta Center while the Bb. Pilipinas 2012 was ongoing seems to be going viral. It shows Bb. Pilipinas 2012 contestant Ali Forbes struggling to give the right answer. She clammed up and was given another 30 seconds only to give a wrong answer. The mishap was not shown on TV (ABS-CBN carried the show via delayed telecast) and Ali won as second runner-up anyway.
The video raised the issue that Bb. Pilipinas is but a "cooking show" - the results are determined even before the finals night. Some however defended Ali and many pointed out the extreme pressures that a candidate has to undergo during such an exciting night.
