In another news, one of the contestants of Miss Earth Mexico, Neolonesa Evelyn Castro Martinez, met with a accident during the swimsuit rehearsals of the Miss Earth Mexico pageant at Yucatan.

A strong gust of wind had torn down the curtain structures that hurled at her injuring her. She was hospitalized, currently bedridden,  accused the Miss Mexico Earth Organizers of gross miss management and negligence of on site safety guidelines. Arguably, was no paramedics or ambulance, and was ignored any plea for help from the supporting staff. She boarded a bus, where on the way she lost consciousness and later found herself in the hospital. She has a sprained cervical spine and immovable left leg.

She is currently urging the organizers to help her return to Monterrey. "Todo esto está muy mal. Este accidente me ocurrió en el evento, deberían hacerse responsables", relató la joven con lágrimas en los ojos.

Miss Earth Mexico Org went on to announce the winners of the contest later that saw Paula Aguila winning the crown.
