I would walk around in the streets with fire just kidding, I don’t know what I would do actually…

3. What is the most difficult thing you did to prepare for the Miss Universe pageant? Why did you do that?
To get ready mentaly, because you never know what you can expect.

4. If you were given 1 million dollars how would you spend it in just one day?
CHARITY! I would give it away to the childrens hospital, the kids that have cancer really breaks my heart.

5. What does loving a boyfriend mean to you?
Trust, sharing our life, privacy, and harmony.

6. Any beauty secrets that you would like to share the readers of Missosology?
Always put sunscreen on your hands and neck when your in the sun, never leave your appartement without your lipstick! Racy red lips are the epitome of sexy. That is, until you smile and realize that your lipstick has somehow migrated off your pout and onto your two front teeth. 1) Embarrassing! 2) Talk about sex appeal gone in an instant! The solution: As soon as lipstick’s applied, always press crimson-color lips onto a folded square of tissue to blot. Then stick your forefinger in your mouth and slowly pull it out to remove any lipstick that you may have mistakenly applied on the insides of your lips.

7. Tell us about the most beautiful place in your country?
LOFOTEN!

8. Tell us about your mantra or secret to success.
I see the hand of success as the process of achieving my own goals, rather than someone else’s goal for me. I was successful when I was unemployed and not earning any money. I knew what I wanted, and it was only a matter of time before I got there.

9. When was the last time you cried? Why?
When they took my dog away from me.

10. What do you like to do for fun with your friends?
Hang out, spend some time together at eachothers place, take a walk, and just spend quality time.

11. Miss Universe Organization now allows transgenders to compete in their pageant system, what’s your take on this?
Every human in this earth is supposed to have a chance in life to do whatever they want to do or be.

12. What would you say to someone who thinks you’re not qualified or pretty enough to represent your country in Miss Universe?
Its not about the face and how pretty you are. Its about who you are inside, how your personality are. And everyone had a chance to win, i didn’t choose myself to win.

13. What qualities do you feel you have that would make you a great Miss Universe?
To be myself all the way. Be a positive person.

1. Who do you think is the sexiest man alive?

In my country, it is said that the man should be a bit more handsome than the Devil… Consequently, we, Romanian women, do not prize the looks of men, but rather their manners, education, elegance, refinement, humor, generosity, and I could go on and on… If you ever meet the man described above, I would surely like us to be introduced!
2. If there were no rules in your life for one day and you could be outrageous, what would you do?

I always act in a civilized manner, not because of the rules, but because there is a conduct code that needs to be obeyed. This is the result of the education I got from my parents and I couldn’t act differently no matter how many laws got annulled. I believe in well-doing and in the power of kind words. I am a sensitive person shedding a tear or two whenever I watch a dramatic movie scene… I’m not knowingly doing any harm…
3. What is the most difficult thing you did to prepare for the Miss Universe pageant? Why did you do that?

It was nothing difficult, really. I have taken part in many international beauty pageants – although I must admit that they were not as important as Miss Universe is – and these enriched my on-stage experience. Consequently, the preparations for Miss Universe meant costume try-ons, visits to hairstylists (they’ve changed the color of my hair) and many photo sessions. The preparations were wonderful and I’d go through them over and over again.

4. What has been the biggest disappointment in your life? Why?

It is difficult to talk about disappointments when you’re 26… There were many minor events in my life that made me suffer, but they cannot be labeled ‘disappointments’. I will say only this: I hope that my life doesn’t hold any big disappointments for me and if I’m meant to face them, I trust to make it to the safe side. All we truly need is our health!
5. If you were given 1 million dollars how would you spend it in just one day?

I do not believe in easy money, I believe in hard-earned money. If I had a large amount of money, I would establish a home for the elderly, which would give them the special living conditions rightfully deserved by every human having contributed to the development of the society through work. Believe me, this is not only a speech of a beauty queen, it is the sincere wish of a human having seen many unhappy old people, abandoned by their families.
6. What does loving a boyfriend mean to you?

It means giving me all of his trust, appreciating my creativity and the ambition to be an independent woman. It means a warm and sensitive heart and that state of security that every woman needs in order for her to be able to move mountains…

7. Any beauty secrets that you would like to share the readers of Missosology?

There are some, but we wouldn’t call them ‘secrets’ anymore if I unveiled them, would we? I have a purely Romanian trick, which helps me keep my hair shiny and silky. Once a week, I prepare a walnut leaf infusion and use it to clean my hair.
8. Tell us about the most beautiful place in your country?

I was raised in one of the most beautiful and oldest cities in Romania, a true cradle of culture and civilization. My city is the birth place of great Romanians, it holds important historical attractions regularly visited by Romanian and foreign travelers, and it was the host city of a very famous music festival – ‘The Golden Stag’ –, début spot for Julio Iglesias and Christina Aguilera and concert stage for Joe Cocker, Pink, Scorpions, Ricky Martin, Steve Vai, Connie Francis, Josephine Baker, Kylie Minogue, Ray Charles, James Brown, Tom Jones, Diana Ross, Sheryl Crow, Cindy Lauper, and many others. My childhood was a great mix of games, concerts, school, mountain treks, chess, and quality time spent with my family, which provided me with everything I needed for a smooth spiritual and professional development.
9. Tell us about your mantra or secret to success.

The secret to my success rests on continuous work and on a high amount of ambition. I have always set goals that I needed to reach and I didn’t stop at these, choosing to face new challenges each and every time. I am tireless in my work. I have always done what I enjoyed and this is probably why I got such amazing results.

10. When was the last time you cried? Why?

The last time I cried was when I got crowned as Miss Universe Romania… It was such a natural thing to do, although the audience doesn’t always understand why a beauty queen sheds tears. Well, after all that stress during the pageant, you are one of the top 5 contestants and the winner is about to be announced. Your name has not yet been called and when you finally hear it, you realize you’ve won and all those emotions crawl into your mind and heart and you can’t control yourself anymore…

11. What do you like to do for fun with your friends?

There are so many things to do in Brasov… We trek in the forested mountains, we go to concerts, we meet in the center of the city hosting the most beautiful cafés in Europe, in my opinion, and I sometimes challenge my friends for a game of chess…
12. Miss Universe Organization now allows transgenders to compete in their pageant system, what’s your take on this?

When I decided to be part of this competition, I fully agreed to its rules and regulations. I am sure that Miss Universe Organization has had good reasons for making this decision and I am not entitled to comment on it in any way.

13. What would you say to someone who thinks you’re not qualified or pretty enough to represent your country in Miss Universe?

I wouldn’t say anything to that person, just let him or her follow my evolution over time and realize how wrong their opinion actually was.
14. What qualities do you feel you have that would make you a great Miss Universe?

My great wish to get involved in social projects, the way in which I always succeed to make the ones around me join me in the actions I wish to perform, my constant work – as mentioned before –, and there is also that certain something that only Romanian women hold and I think that it is high time the secret got out of the bag.

1. Who do you think is the sexiest man alive?

Of course there are obviously actors who are extremely good looking, the likes of Channing Tatum, brad Pitt etc but I think personality has a huge part to play and we don’t see actor’s true personalities then it’s hard to judge. My boyfriend of 6 years in my eyes is the sexiest man alive…he has all the qualities that I love!
2. If there were no rules in your life for one day and you could be outrageous, what would you do?

I think I would want to do anything that gave me an adrenaline rush, something like a sky dive or bungee jump.

3. What is the most difficult thing you did to prepare for the Miss Universe pageant? Why did you do that?

Although I am used to modeling I think in some ways pageants are very different. While modeling is about the clothes, pageants focus on the person. Even though I am confident when doing the likes of fashion shows, shoots etc, for miss universe I have tried to prepare myself mentally and grow my confidence as this show is on a much bigger scale than anything I have done before.
4. What has been the biggest disappointment in your life? Why?

I am very lucky to date I haven’t had any major disappointments, I work hard and any small setbacks only make me work harder. I am very lucky to have a caring family who have guided me through life and have helped me to make wise decisions.
5. If you were given 1 million dollars how would you spend it in just one day?

I would take care of my family, I would buy my mum her dream villa in Spain, a golfing trip for my dad, for my brother a car and of course it goes without saying I would go on a major shopping spree.

6. What does loving a boyfriend mean to you?

Having someone that is always there for you is a special thing, they never change their opinion of you no matters what others say because they know the real you. Loving a boyfriend means that I will goes above and beyond and offers help in any way I can. You each provide a feeling of safeness and love that cannot be found with anyone else. In just one look shared between a boyfriend and a girlfriend a message can be given and understood by each other…This is what loving my boyfriend means to me.
7. Any beauty secrets that you would like to share the readers of Missosology?

It’s not a secret but if I have an important day ahead of me or a modeling job I always make sure to get more than 8 hours sleep. I think it makes such a difference, a good sleep always leaves you looking fresh! Also I believe less is more and it’s important to only enhance your natural beauty not try and disguise it. I think a good cleanser, toner and moisturiser is a necessity.

8. Tell us about the most beautiful place in your country?

Ireland is a beautiful country with lush green wilderness dotted with beautiful town that have lovely people and an atmosphere to match. But being a Dublin girl, there’s no place like home, I love strolling around the beautiful parks Stephens green or the phoenix park. At the moment the Christmas lights are up in Dublin and there’s nothing nicer then walking down Grafton Street.
9. Tell us about your mantra or secret to success.

I always set goals for myself whether it’s to do with college or work, I will keep working until each goal is achieved.

10. When was the last time you cried? Why?

When I graduated from college, the hard work was over and I hadn’t seen my good friend in a long time as everybody had gone their separate ways travelling or moving on with careers. (Happy tears )
11. What do you like to do for fun with your friends?

I am quite an active person and usually have a very busy week running around doing various modeling jobs and going to the gym. We all live different and busy lives so when it comes time that I get to see my friends the best thing to do is have big catch to fill each other in on what we’ve been up to. We love to take trips traveling abroad or even just in our own country getting to see new and exciting places.  Of course we love to do the regular things like night out at the cinema, girl’s night out etc.

12. Miss Universe Organization now allows transgenders to compete in their pageant system, what’s your take on this?

Transgender women have done everything to become the women they know and feel they are inside, they feel like a woman and act like a woman. They want to be recognized as women. So by excluding them from a pageant it is highlighting that they are not really a woman which would be unfair. I am all for it.
13. What would you say to someone who thinks you’re not qualified or pretty enough to represent your country in Miss Universe?

Judgment will always be paced and everybody will have a different opinion on what is beautiful or attractive to them. What is beautiful to one person maybe different to the next. I have worked hard to get to where I am today and I know that I am a strong person with a good personality so I feel that I will represent Ireland well.
14. What qualities do you feel you have that would make you a great Miss Universe?

I am extremely motivated and hard working. I persevere in life until I have achieved what I have set out to achieve. I pride myself on being a well rounded person with good morals and a grounded personality. I think positively and always try to see the good in situations.

This whole experience is something completely new to me…It may be a little bit out of my comfort zone but I am ready to dive in and make to most of this adventure. I look forward to meeting all of the beautiful contestants and hopefully making good friends along the way.

2. If there were no rules in your life for one day and you could be outrageous, what would you do?

I am a speed freak but the fastest I can go in my country is 120km/h. If there were no rules in my life just for one day I would race and break every traffic rule.

3. What is the most difficult thing you did to prepare for the Miss Universe pageant? Why did you do that?

The hardest thing was giving up family time. I do not spend as much time with my family because I am too busy getting ready for the pageant. I spend my time reading up on current events, getting my wardrobe ready, getting my physique in shape, preparing myself emotionally and mentally for my first big pageant and my first visit abroad. I believe that what you reap is proportional to what you will sow.

4. What has been the biggest disappointment in your life? Why?

Not having met my grandfather. He passed on when I was 10 and I never got a chance to meet the man who gave life to my mother. I feel like I have missed out on a love so great and wisdom  that only a grandfather could ever posses. It is something I wish could be reversed but unfortunately it is not. What it did do though, was teach me how to handle disappointments that I come across in life.

5. If you were given 1 million dollars how would you spend it in just one day?

Order a whole lot of food and feed a million people. Then I would buy myself a car then sell it a day after, and build my parents a small comfortable house to live in.

6. What does loving a boyfriend mean to you?

It means wanting to spend time with him, talking to him for hours about everything and anything. It means caring for him more than I do for myself.  It means sharing my hopes and dreams with him.  It means laughing at his not so funny jokes!!!

7. Any beauty secrets that you would like to share the readers of missosology.

If you have a thinning hairline, do not despair. The answer lies in your eyeshadow. Yes, your eyeshadow!! Get a color that matches your hair – brown , black etc. then brush over the thinning hairline with the eyeshadow, it makes your hair look fuller!!!

8. Tell us about the most beautiful place in your country?

God created a beautiful Namibia and it has stayed that way through time. It is a stunning country that offers the best of all worlds; the white beaches in the
Swakopmund area; the Namib desert that runs along the coast line (the oldest desert in the world); the lusciously green Caprivi region with the Zambezi river; and Sossus Vlei, a wonder that takes my breath away.  The name Sossus Vlei roughly means “dead end marsh”. It is characterized by high sand dunes of vivid pink-to-orange colour. Sossus Vlei is home to the deadvlei.  Deadvlei is a clay pan. A notable feature of Deadvlei is that it used to be an oasis with several acacia trees; afterwards, the river that watered the oasis changed its course. The pan is thus punctuated by blackened, dead acacia trees, in vivid contrast to the shiny white of the salty floor of the pan and the intense orange of the dunes. This creates a particularly fascinating and surrealistic landscape, that appears in uncountable pictures and that has been used as a setting for films and videos.

Each of these places are uniquely different and I am amazed every time I travel around my country, how privileged I am to live in such a beautiful place.
It is an enchanting place that really is worth a visit.

9. Tell us about your mantra or secret to success.

My mantra is “This too shall pass”. I repeat this phrase to myself whenever i am going through hard times. It reminds me that I have go through tough times before I am stronger. It reminds me that giving up is never the answer and that there is a better day and a deserved reward to go with it.

10. When was the last time you cried? Why?

The last time I cried was during a visit with the red cross society of Namibia to a little Village North of Namibia called Ndama. I have never seen anyone so poor and helpless. An elderly couple were raising seven of their grandchildren who were all orphans and they all shared a tiny hut. They had no beds, nor mattresses. Just a piece of old torn blanket. Their story of hardship and their daily struggle to survive touched me so much, I decided that no one living under the sun should have to live like this.  It should be everybody’s mission to do what they can for the less privileged.

11. What do you like to do for fun with your friends?

We have several game lodges all over Namibia and most of them are clustered around Windhoek.  We often break away to a game  lodge and  explore nature at its  best. Other special days  are Thursday’s our  Pizza night and  Saturday’s our movie night.

12. Miss Universe Organization now allows transgenders to compete in their
pageant system, what’s your take on this?

I believe that no one has the right to judge another for their choices  that they make on how they live their lives. I also believe that the focus of Miss Universe is and should be to find the most elegant, and capable women who has the good of the Miss Universe Organization and vision at heart.

13. What would you say to someone who thinks you’re not qualified or pretty enough to represent your country in Miss Universe?

Nothing, I would simply let my actions speak for me! They can watch me represent my country despite what they think. The only opinion that counts, is my own. No one can make you feel less worthy, unless you give them the green light to do so.

14. What qualities do you feel you have that would make you a great Miss  Universe?

I am compassionate, a visionary and dedicated. I believe that some sort of equality can be achieved. No one should have to live below the poverty line.  That is achievable if the  right energy, compassion, dedication and love is shown by each one of us. My ability to feel and share the despair of others would make me a great Miss Universe.
