Roberta Capua in 1987 was a huge favorite but was awarded with first runner-up and then it seems it was all quiet for the country. But Italians sporadically showed strongly at the pageant. There were the likes of Arianna David and Denny Mendez. And then there’s the surprise Claudia Ferraris. This year is a must for Miss Universe to consider Miss Universe Italy Grazia Pinto as one of the semifinalists. She’s a fiery Sicilian with a beauty that spells out clearly the words glam. She’s got class, a heap of confidence without being exuberant, a body that lingers in one mind and a face that reminds me of Diana Nogueira. I dare say out loud, its time for an Italian Miss Universe.
