Depending on which camp you belong, Lina Machola could be an underrated delegate or an overhyped one. I’m afraid though that the trend leans towards – deliberate or not in part of the Israelis – overhyping Israeli beauties. When there is hype and that hype did not live up to the expectations, then one will have an image problem. And this is Israel’s problem. For two consecutive years, Israeli delegates at Miss Universe all turned out to be, well, overrated. Lina has all the qualities of a beautiful blonde but she seriously needs to modernize her look. Forget the wavy hair and go for a straight one. Try to look confident rather than being all too smiley. Lina must exert a lot of effort particularly since at this stage, everyone including myself, have serious doubts on her Top 15 chances.
