Česká Miss, the national pageant of Czech Republic responsible for selecting the country's Big4 contestants, has officially designated Philippines as the partner country for the 2013 pageant. According to the Philippine media giant, ABS-CBN, a memorandum of agreement had been signed between the Philippine Ambassador to Czech Republic and the marketing director of ESO Travel, the franchise holder of the Czech pageant.
The Philippines will be promoted in a series of TV and print ads in Czech Republic and the 2013 contestants will have some photo and video shoots in various tourist destinations in the Philippines.
Holding a national pageant in a foreign country is not really a new concept. Miss Teen USA had been held in Bahamas since 2008. In 2009 Spain moved Miss España pageant to Mexico.
