The bi-annual beauty pageant Miss Belarus concluded last 4th of May, 2012. The 20 year old and 178cm tall Yulia Skalkovich from Brest Region was crowned as the Miss Belarus 2012 by Lyudmila Yakimovich (Miss Belarus 2010) in Minsk. Yulia also received the Miss Photogenic award and a cash prize. First Vice Miss is Viktoryja Saviel from Gomel and awarded as Miss Sports and the Second Vice Miss is Anastasija Pahranicnaja from Brest and the Miss Talent in the competition. Yulia will represent her country in Miss World 2012 Pageant in Ordos, Innner Mongolia on August 18 while one of the runners-up will compete in Miss World 2013 in Bali, Indonesia on September next year.
