As Melinda Bam is making waves in Las Vegas taking the prime spot in most of the Hot Picks, her title as Miss South Africa has already been passed to someone else. Thanks to the very late Miss Universe season, Melinda is still finishing her mission while the new batch is being selected.
Pretoria beauty Marilyn Ramos won the prestigious Miss South Africa crown in a glittering event held in Sun City, Sunday night, December 9. The title was passed by Melinda's first runner-up Remona Moodley. Marilyn is expected to compete at both Miss Universe 2013 and Miss World 2013 like most of the previous Miss South Africa. However, it must be noted that Remona competed at Miss World 2012 while Melinda proceeded to Miss Universe. The arrangement raised some speculations but it is apparent that the move was more a tactical rather than personal like what the organization suggests.
Stacey Webb from the Western Cape is the first princess while top favorote Pearle Nxele was crowned second princess.
