It was indeed a case of something lost in translation. After posting in their FB page that the Beach Beauty segment was cancelled, contestants from Mexico and Ecuador should be scratching their heads. Apparently, it was not cancelled but rather postponed. The Beach Beauty is now slated on August 3rd according to the official Miss World website.
