Kanishtha failed to shine very well at Miss World like she did at Femina

Kanishtha Dhankar is supposed to be a top beauty from the renowned Femina Miss India beauty queen machinery but her exclusion at the Miss World semifinals list is raising a lot of questions. First and foremost, we need to recognize that India is a beauty superpower at Miss World but the trend lately suggests that what worked for India in the 90s no longer applies in this decade.

Kanishtha is a symbolic beauty that tells us all that Miss World has changed its mechanics dramatically. For the first time ever, we get to see the actual rank of delegate. The criteria have changed, at least that's what we think or perhaps we were just enlightened at the true essence of the Miss World competition because the scores and criteria were revealed.

What is surprising is that Kanishtha seems to have stopped shining when the critical stages of the competition began. At the Top Model, she was one of the finalists and on Beauty with a Purpose, she hot high marks. But Miss World has now counted Sports and Talent and amazingly, despite having a good figure, Kanishtha was not even in Top 36 of the Beach Beauty.

If only Kanishtha was there, we could have seen her intelligence, her great stage presence, and hope that she could have shined the way she shined at Femina Miss India competition.
