Now that the Top 14 of the Talent competition has been announced, it is pretty clear on who are the front runners at Miss World 2012. There are currently six contestants are that are in the semis in all three contests: Brazil, China PR, Israel, Jamaica, Kazakhstan and the Philippines. This makes the jobs of our beauty experts a little bit easier. Predicting the outcome of Miss World will no longer be a cumbersome affair.

Speaking of beauty experts, this title is granted to Missosology members who are really good in predicting the outcomes of beauty pageants. They deserve their tags and only a person with dismal record and pathetic predicting capabilities will be cowed in owning the label of being a beauty expert.

And now for the main topic. Miss Brazil Mariana Notarangelo is gaining momentum inching her way towards the crown, while the host girl Miss China PR Wen Xia Yu is really likely NOT to win but a more or less sure on the Top 7. Miss Israel Shani Hazan proved resilient and she will go a long way too. All eyes are on Miss Kazakhstan Evgeniya Klishina but her styles and ways are not really Miss World-esque. She need to tone down her fierceness. Miss Jamaica Deanna Robins and Miss Philippines Queenierich Rehman are the safe bets for the crown as of the moment.

Why say as of the moment? That is because many contestants are catching up. Keep an eye on Miss Vietnam Vũ Thị Hoàng My, Miss Netherlands Nathalie den Dekker and Miss Nepal Shristi Shrestha. These are the contestants that recently made it to the Beach Fashion semifinalists' list affirming their status as the dark horses of this competition. No, no…wait. Dark horses with a lot of potential in this competition!

Here's what should bother all those beauty expert wannabes. There is no definite way to say that these so-called front runners are truly frontrunners. This is mainly because we really don't know their exact ranking in every contest where they are listed as semifinalist. A scenario: A contestant that made it in all three contests but is ranked dead last can easily be defeated by one contestant that is ranked number 1 in two other contests!

So there you go. Being a beauty expert requires skills not just all mouth and that. You can write you own observation then say oh well I am not a beauty expert. More like an escape in case the cat is out in the bag. Excuses, excuses. If you're not a beauty expert, stop acting like one then.
