1.) One contestant has apparently an attitude problem. She was seen so terribly disappointed for not entering the talent semis despite of her dance/sing routine. After the semifinalists were announced, some insiders claimed she began snubbing a lot of candidates.

2.) The contestants were reportedly restricted to use Facebook. Whether it is a directive from Miss World or the Chinese government is still unknown. China has been wary about the social networking site to the point it disables access to it from time to time.

3.) There were some PR efforts to show that the contestants have limited access to internet when ZTE gave them all smartphones. But the phone's internet capability was basically useless for many candidates.

4.) Miss Colombia Barbara Turbay and Miss Nepal Shristi Shrestha are gaining a lot of attention but they are yet to be considered as frontrunners by their fellow candidates. Some insiders contend that Miss USA Claudine Book and Miss Mongolia Bayarmaa Huselbaatar could surprise a lot of pageant watchers. Let the real competition begin!

5.) The official list of Top Model is yet to be officially revealed yet some contestants claimed that they are in the semis. One of contestant unfortunately, either made a false claim or erroneously thought she was in.

6.) Miss India Vanya Mishra was praised by a lot of people for her good command of the English language. A comeback for India at Miss World?

7.) Some countries were allegedly using spams and bots to have more Facebook likes for their contestants. Whether the FB likes count at Miss World is not yet known.

8.) In a surprise birthday party, one contestant was visibly not happy. Can you guess who?

9.) Miss Macau Winnie Sin was reportedly as the most friendly candidate. If there is a Miss Congeniality award, she might win it!

10.) Inner Mongolia's endemic culture is so similar to her country's such that Miss Mongolia Bayarmaa Huselbaatar feel so at home. A home court advantage a little later perhaps?
