Local TV station TV5 recently announced that the Philippines will host the Miss World 2015 and preparations are now on the way. In a Miss Universe obsessed nation, TV5 in partnership with Miss World Philippines is working hard to make the pageant as the number 1 in the Philippines. TV5 had already reached out to online media outlets like Missosology to make us an official online media partner and help cover and promote Miss World.

June 19, 2012, Dusit Thani Hotel, Manila, - TV5 and Miss World Philippines highlights the Filipina’s talent in tonight’s Gala Night and Fashion Runway. This event is in line with the partnership’s goal to make the Filipina a force to be reckoned with in international pageants.
It has been a strong advocacy of the Miss World Philippines to pay tribute to and relive the beauty and elegance of a Filipina wearing Filipiniana. Filipino fashion and tradition take centerstage in the evening gown competition, highlighting Filipiniana designers will also be showcasing their creations in tonight’s event. The same designers will also provide evening gowns for the 25 candidates during the Coronation Night. Viewers of the Coronation Night are in for a treat as a special number from these designers will also be prepared for the Top 12 candidates.
The designers are: Veejay Floresca, Vince SItyar, Mark Tamayo, Peri Diaz, Sheryl Vicente, Sareena Dayaram, Ruel Rivera, Romaine Halasan, Sonyboy Mindo, Dave Ocampo, Luis delos Santos, Gerswin Qua, Joel Bautista, Robert Zamora, Cherry Veric, Edwin Uy, Jontie Martinez, Arielle Agasang, Nicky Martinez, Albert Figueras, Eric delos Santos, Pablo Cabahug, Jaz Cerezo, Cecilio Bertumin, and Rainer Lim.
Also featured in the Gala Night and Fashion Runway is the awarding of special awards namely Miss Friendship, Miss Talent, Miss Photogenic, Miss Prudential, Miss World Travellers , Miss Manny O Wine and Best in Runway.
The Miss World Philippines 2012 Coronation Night will be aired live from the Manila Hotel Tent on Sunday, June 24 at 8:30PM on TV5.
