There is a slew of controversies that besieged the Miss World Fiji 2012 contest. First there is that age controversy with the winner Torika Watters. Then some suggested that she is not Fijian enough. As if Torika has to prove her Fijian-ness in order to represent Fiji at Miss World 2012 contest. And then there is that nasty rumors that the winner was pre-selected and that the pageant night is merely a formality. Sounds familiar?

Anyway, here we go. Torika was dethroned - one of the series of the dethronements that graced in our headlines recently. And now the new Miss World Fiji is (drumroll please) Koini Vakaloloma. Let's hope all the controversies will end now.
