After the national organizers were informed that the Miss Universe competition was being moved to December, it remains an uncertainty on when and where will Miss Universe be this year, according to Alex Aldana’s report published on RCN Radio’s website. RCN is one of the biggest TV stations in Colombia, which airs Miss Colombia Universe competition. For now, it's unsure. If there's going to be a host city soon, we can say it will be a great challenge hosting such a grand event. Or are they trying to create a surprise? Let's just have our fingers crossed because so many Miss Universe fans all over the world will be saddened for not having a much awaited competition this year.

Miss Universe 2012 in Danger of Cancellation

Speculations about the possible cancellation of the contest of the most beautiful women in the world create echoes these days. Experts told RCN Radio that the celebration is somewhat temporized.

From the year 1952, and without fail every year, the Miss Universe organization conducts its global competition, which aims to show the beauty of women in the world in majestic, elegant celebrations. However, the renowned designer and trainer of national and international queens Alfredo Barraza said we still have to see this year if it will be pushed through because of lack of venue and the date would considerably lead to such a costly event. These are reasons enough why Donald Trump might be in thought of leaving the celebration for next year.

Barraza said, "Countries had already chosen the girls and preferred to send them to Miss World due to non-confirmation of Miss Universe organization of the date of the event... I have confirmed that the event, date (season) could raise the cost of the production, and if carried out in December, the winner would be reigning only for five months, because they plan to resume the contest in May 2013."

United States, the home of the event, is willing to accommodate candidates. But apparently "left everything to last minute", the state of Nevada (which had been announced as a possible place of realization of the competition) there is no room to house all the thousands of people attending the event.

Even Las Vegas is completely full. They have thought of other cities but would not have the capacity to accommodate so many people who will travel to this competition.

Meanwhile,  Raimundo Angulo, president of the National Beauty Contest, said he hopes that within 10 days he will receive a response from the Miss Universe organization with the confirmation of day and date, however, assert not be certain that takes place in December as it had been planned.

"In the next days I will confirmed the date and venue. I do not want to speculate on the situation. I would like the pageant to take place because it is very important. Our organization is just waiting for their response. Meanwhile, Daniela Alvarez continues her usual preparations for the competition. "

If Miss Universe takes place, Daniela Alvarez (reigning Miss Colombia) will compete for Colombia, although a new Queen will be crowned soon on November in Cartagena.
