Sporting a Taino inspired costume, Bodine will draw ohs and ahs at Miss Universe 2012. Tainos are pre-Columbian inhabitants of what is now Puerto Rico and vast parts of Caribbean. To appreciate its contribution to the Western civilization, consider this - the word hurricane is actually from the Taino word huracan. Thus, many nations in the Caribbean, Puerto Rico included pay homage to the earliest inhabitants of the region.
