NOT ONE, BUT THREE SCREENINGS FOR BB. PILIPINAS 2013!
Because of the large turnout of applicants for the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Pageant, the organizers are preparing for three screening dates this February. This will be the first step in the stringent selection process for the final candidates of the most prestigious pageant in the Philippines.
As of press time, more than a hundred of the loveliest young Filipinas have formally signified their intention to be part of the “golden” batch of ladies that will comprise the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Pageant. The celebrated beauty search is celebrating its “50 Beautiful Years” this year. Apart from the esteem it enjoys among pageant-crazy Filipinos, the current bumper crop of beauties is buoyed by the successive victories of recent winners which include 2010 Miss Universe 4th runner up Venus Raj, 2011 Miss Universe 3rd runner up Shamcey Supsup and 2012 1st runner up Janine Mari Tugonon.
The large batch of applicants will be screened on February 11, 12, and 14, with a final screening on February 16 at the Gateway Suites. Interested parties from across the country are encouraged to make it to the screenings by going to the Bb. Pilipinas office or checking the website for more details.
Applicants may download the application form atwww.bbpilipinas.com and are encouraged to submit the document in person at the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) Office, Smart Araneta Coliseum from Mondays to Fridays, 10 am to 6 pm. The following requirements should be submitted upon application: Original birth certificate authenticated by NSO, certified true copy of high school diploma, Philippine passport (if any), close-up and full body photos, and a written consent for parents if 17 years of age.
Three titles await those who will make it to the roster of official candidates, aged 17 to 25 years old: Miss Philippine-Universe 2013, Binibining Pilipinas-International 2013, and Binibining-Pilipinas Tourism 2013. The coronation night scheduled on April 14 and beamed live on ABS-CBN is expected to be much grander as a fitting celebration for its “50 Beautiful Years”. The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) has produced a roster of proven world-class beauties including Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, 1970 Miss International Aurora Pijuan, 1979 Miss International Mimilanie Marquez, and 2005 Miss International Precious Lara Quigaman.
