Diana Jaén won the Miss Mundo Panamá title during a pageant held at Centro de Convenciones Megapolis on August 24. Diana will represent Panama at the Miss World contest which will be held in Sanya, China this December. The event also saw the crowning of Panama’s Miss Universe bet including their entry to the Reinado International del Cafe.
Panama has never won the Miss World crown. The highest placement of the country was in 1983 when Marissa Burgos made it to the Top 5. The same feat was repeated in 2005 when Nadege Herrera represented Panama at Miss World.
Diana represented Cocle in the nationals. She loves to travel and scuba dive. She’s 23 years of age and is from Penonomé.
