Reinado de El Salvador crowns 2019 queens


The 2019 Reinado de El Salvador pageant concluded on July 20 with the crowning of the Central American country’s representatives to two of the Big5 pageants.

Miss Universe El Salvador
Zuleika Soler was crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2019. The 26-year-old who is originally from San Miguel and now a resident of New Jersey in the US, will head on to compete at the 2019 Miss Universe contest.

Miss World El Salvador
Meanwhile, Fatima Mangandi was named Miss World El Salvador 2019. The 27-year-old from Santa Tecla will travel to London for the 2019 Miss World contest in December. Mangandi previously competed in Miss International.

Also crowned in the same event is Reina Hispanoamericana El Salvador 2019 Cristina Perdomo. The 21-year-old from Antiguo Cuscatlán will compete in Reina Hispanoamericana pagaeant in Bolivia.

Only 12 of the 14 candidates competed during the finals held at Auditórium FEPADE in Santa Tecla. Andrea Escobar left the competition after the death of her father, while Elizabeth Rodriguez dropped out after implying in an Instagram post that the winners have already been chosen ahead of the finale.
