Mark your calendars people! Come November 5th, the biggest showdown yet in the history of Miss International will be in full throttle. The heat of the competition can now be felt even though the finals is still in the distant future. Not even half of the contestants has been crowned yet but three countries are sending top caliber candidates to the pageant – Ecuador, the Philippines and Venezuela.
Edymar Martínez was tagged the most superior among the Miss Venezuela 2014 contestants. As Miss Venezuela Internacíonal, Edymar had been enjoying the status of being the lone front runner for many months by Miss International analysts. Yet, this month of March, the dynamics of the competition has dramatically changed when Janicel Lubina was crowned as Bb. Pilipinas International 2015. Janicel will be wearing the Philippine sash at Miss International 2015 and will be giving Edymar a worthy opponent at the pageant.
So, it will be a two way race right? Well, not really. Not to be outdone, Ecuador crowned the best candidate of its pageant with the title of Miss Ecuador International. With a breathtaking 5’11” height and a beauty that exudes supermodel qualities, Daniela Armijos will give both Edymar and Janicel another worthy opponent. As of the press time, this would be a three way race.
Interesting to note that Edymar, Janicel and Daniela were all analyzed to be better off competing at the Miss Universe pageant. But at the expense of Miss Universe, Miss International 2015 will be on the spotlight largely because of these three candidates. If Janicel wins the crown, the Philippines will be in an equal footing with Venezuela in terms of the number of crowns won at Miss International but if Edymar runs away with the title, Venezuela will cement its domination at the pageant. Meanwhile if Daniela wins, Ecuador will finally find its niche as this would be the sole Big4 pageant where the country has two crowns.
Equally beautiful, equally statuesque. Who do you think will win the Miss International 2015 crown?
