Alisa Manyonok will represent Belarus at the 2019 Mis Earth competition in December in the Philippines, the beauty queen announced on her Instagram account on September 10.
The 24-year-old model and ex-volleyball player previously represented Russia in Miss International 2016, where she placed in the Top 15. Last year, she was crowned World Beauty Queen in Korea.
“You can ask why not Russia? My father is Belarusian, and his biggest dream was to see me as a representative of our native family country, and one of my biggest dreams was to take part in Miss Earth and visit Philippines. And finally our dreams come true,” Manyonok said.
“All documents regarding the citizenship of my father and my family tree were checked by the organization, and there is no reason to doubt that Belarus is my historical homeland. And now I’m so proud to be called Miss Earth Belarus 2019.”
Belarus has yet to win the Miss Earth crown. It currently ranks 78th in Missosology Big 5 Ranking. Missosology.Org; Photos from Alisa Manyonok Instagram page
