After four years, Guyana will return to the Miss Earth stage.
Xamiera Kippins was crowned the new Miss Earth Guyana during the finals held June 23 at the National Cultural Centre in Georgetown.
The 23-year-old beauty from West Bank Demerara will now represent the country at the 2018 Miss Earth pageant.
“I believe in the power of a beauty queen,” Kippins wrote in her Miss Earth Guyana profile. “Despite the name, beauty comes second. I am an advovate. An advocate for change and betterment in all aspects of life, to make our world a more peaceful place.”
Her elemental court included Luann Pellew (Miss Earth Guyana – Air), Akisha Payne (Miss Earth Guyana – Water) and Anita Baker (Miss Earth Guyana – Fire).
