More than a week to go before Angelia Ong crowns her successor as Miss Earth. But before the grand finale, the girls have been touring around the Philippines for the past days. With the pre-pageant activities unfolding each day, a few ladies have moved up the ladder.
Leading our fourth hot picks is the lovely Lyndl Kean of Australia. She wasn’t the heavy favorite during pre-arrivals, but Lyndl slowly but surely made her presence felt in the competition. Winning the gold medal in her group’s resorts wear competition catapulted her to front-runner status. Not to mention her classy demeanor and good communication skills, it won’t be surprise if this girl from Down Under gets crowned on October 29.
In second place is Ecuador’s Katherine Espin. While she’s down a notch from our previous list, Katherine’s star hasn’t dimmed. She remains as one of the best bets of the Americas, and is one of the sponsor’s favorites, too, having won quite a number of corporate awards. Her two gold medals as Darling of the Press and Resorts Wear winner are proof that this girl is a major contender for the crown.
Up 6 places to third position is Grace Wanene of Kenya. She hasn’t won any medals but Grace has been a clear standout in the competition. She has become very visible in the activities and was one of the best during the fashion show in Davao.
Rounding up the top 4 is Venezuela’s Stephanie De Zorzi. She remains as one of the hottest candidates, with a huge following even in the Philippines.
